Computer Center provides services to the University community in computing facilities and help researchers to get their research data analyzed. It extends Internet facilities in the University, enables access to World Wide Web, Email and provides laboratory facility to the students of science and technology. Computer Center was runing MCA course till acadmic session 2005-06.This course is transferred to Department of Computer science from acadmic session 2006-07. Computer Centre maintains BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in ) and Webservers. The website information is updated by this Computer Centre according to the request of the respective Academic unit, Administrative unit. Computer Center caters Optical fiber Network which is nearly 70 KM in the University Campus. This connects all academic units, administrative offices, Guest Houses and Hostels by using distribution switches and Access Switches. This Network is also supported by Optical Fiber backbone. Users can use the computing resources of Computer Center from their offices and Academics Unit and Hostels. Login is provided to all the students, faculty and staff members for browsing Internet. Computer Centre operates 24 hours a day, 365 days an year.
