The University accepts contribution to support different areas of campus need and donor interest. Your contribution is a token to memories of your bygone academic days. This contributions made to BHU can be specifically tailored to suit wishes of the donor and c;ome in wide variety of options. We are providing a list that may help you to decide how best to handle your efforts towards fulfillment of Great Mahamana's Vision. However, we will feel honored to receive your views, ideas and quarries.
E) Medal: The minimum donation required for award of a Gold Medal IS Rs.25,000 /-.
F) Chairs: For creation of a Chairs in any Institute/Faculty/Department the minimum amount required would be Rs.1,00,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore only). Appointment on the Chair will be made on consolidated honorarium basis and other facilities admissible as per BHU norms.
G) Scholarship: For Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship, the minimum amount of a Scholarship would be @ Rs.500/- per month for 12 months against donations of Rs.1,50,000/- lacs. The amount would increase proportionately depending upon the duration of course.
R) Memorial Lecture Series: For Memorial Lecture Series the minimum amount would be Rs.25,00,000/- subject to maximum expenditure of Rs. 50,000/- per year for the following:
a. To meet the Expenditure ofT.A. (Air Fare)/D.A.
b. Local Hospitality
c. Transportation
d. Fixed Honorarium
E) General/Developmental purposes: Further, the University also accepts
donations for various developmental/general purposes for which any amount is welcome.
NOTE:
1. the fund position in the case of Medal, Chair, Scholarship and Memorial Lecture shall be reviewed after every 06 years.
2. Contribution will be accepted in the form of cash or cheque/demand draft drawn in favour of the REGISTRAR, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
