Faculties are engaged in the under graduate and post graduate teaching . research and extension. In 2009 � 10 two students qualified SRF of ICAR, one student got Italian Govt fellowship for PhD, one student selected for ARS and six new projects of Rs 124,34 lacs initiated in the Department. Faculties have been invited in the national and international symposium as chairman and lead speakers of the sessions. Prof H.B.Singh received two awards. New infrastructure facilities were created to take up advance research and training in the area of biological control, resistance breeding and disease management. Building was renovated and some temporary addition was also made. Most of the teachers availed the faculty improvement schemes and attended seminar/symposium/workshops etc. One patent was granted. Total 28 papers were published. All M.Sc. pass out students have been placed in different companies and banks. Several demonstrations, farmers� participatory research programme and training were taken under out reach scheme
