Year of establishment: 1988

Introduction:

The department of Dermatology & Venereology was established as a section in the Department of Medicine in 1964, and became full-fledged department in 1988. M.D. course was started in 1971. Since then 74 students have been awarded MD and 1 Ph.D. degree. Significant contributions include optimization of topical corticosteroid therapy, Suction blister technique for melanocyte inoculation and Wound management. The Department has organized Conferences/Workshop/Symposium of Indian Association of Dermatologists Venereologists & Leprologists (UP) 4 times and National conference on Wound Management. Many distinguished guests from India and abroad visited the department
