ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The super specialty of respiratory medicine was established almost 50 years back in the year 1964 as a division in the department of medicine. A full-fledged department of respiratory medicine came into existence 25 years back on 9th January, 1988. MD course in the department started in the year 1971 and the first MD was awarded from the department in the specialty of respiratory medicine in the year 1974. Since the day of establishment department is continuously involved in various academic and research activity, and in serving the humanity.
