Area of specialization/awards/achievements:

Molecular Biology and Immunology: Role of transcription factors (TFs) and their ability to talk to each other to regulate the cytokine genes. Study of expression and possible role of inflammatory / non-inflammatory cytokines in the liver and lungs cancer in mice model. Immunomodulatory role of selected herbal plants in cancerous mice model. Finding will help to understand the mechanism at molecular level to use the genes/herbs for therapeutic purposes.
Our current research focuses on two main areas of research

  1. Molecular basis of cytokines and chemokines gene regulation and their role in immunity/cancer disease.
  2. Immunomodulatory role of certain herbs and chemicals.
  3. Find out new therapeutic genes and their use for therapeutic purposes.
  4. Signal transduction
