Area of specialization:

Our group is working out strategies of isolation and purification of plants bioactive molecules from traditionally used plants that could be used as food preservative and as functional food ingredients. Our research focus is to identify the bioactivity of plant-derived products against the food borne pathogen, mycotoxin, and oxidative damages to enhance the shelf life of food commodities. In addition, I also involved in characterization of Nano-encapsulation of plant-bioactive compounds, elucidation of mode of action of test bioactive compounds, and bio-prospection of aromatic plants and their potential bioactive compounds.
