Teaching and research specialization in Plant Pathology and Angiosperm Taxonomy.Practical potency of some plant products has been recorded as plant based fumigants in control of biodeterioration of some stored food commodities from insects and mycotoxin producing fungi without exhibiting phytotoxic and mammalian toxicity. The products showed efficacy as aflatoxin B1 suppressors during storage conditions. The products provide complete protection of stored food commodities by controlling insects, fungi as well as aflatoxins during storage without showing mammalian toxicity. The oils have been standardized phytochemically. The oils possessed antioxidant activity exhibiting efficacy in enhancement of storage and market life of food commodities. The findings are novel and patented (four patents: 2586/DEL/2006, 2587/DEL/2006, and 2588/DEL/2006, 233/DEL/2011).
