    Area of specialization:

I am an applied Mathematician by training and interested in Mathematical Biology, Computational Non-linear Dynamics, Mathematical Ecology and Plankton Dynamics. The impact of spatial dispersal/Heterogeneity cannot be ignored on ecosystem dynamics. I am interested to develop new methodology for food-web dynamics/plankton dynamics in which spatial heterogeneity is an explicit component of the model variables. The statistics involved in such models has greater impact on biodiversity. The dynamics of such models is quite different than the conventional (mean-field) model in long time behavior.
Another interesting filed of my research is to estimate the parameters from given data of ecological pattern. I used extensive data set for estimating the parameter values which are biologically feasible.
