About us:
The Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chair was set up on April 6, 2016 as a result of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India and the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. The Chair established in the Faculty of Social Sciences, BHU to pay tribute and constructive homage to the memory of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and to promote research and disseminate ideas and practice of social justice in consonance with what Dr. Ambedkar stood for.
