The publication of “Ānvīkṣikī” started as the Research Bulletin of the Centre of Advanced Study in Philosophy, Banaras Hindu University in the year 1968. It was a quarterly journal and was published regularly till the year 1973. Thereafter five special volumes of the journal were published in the year 1989 and 1990. Another special volume of Ānvīkṣikī was also published in 2003. From 2011 it is being published regularly as an annual journal.
The Editor and Editorial Board of Ānvīkṣikī welcome specialized papers/articles in Indian philosophy and articles that exhibit the relevance and importance of philosophy in general and Indian Philosophy in particular in the present scientific era and global world. The article may exhibit the distinctive characteristics of the various Indian philosophical traditions. They especially welcome those original contributions that expose the puzzling issues of the classical and contemporary Indian philosophy. They welcome also those articles which illuminate in a comparative manner the importance of Indian Philosophical concepts, epistemological issues, roots of religious ideas and as well as socio-economic philosophical problems.
