• CHS Building Central Hindu Girls School (CHGS), an integral part of BHU, is one of the oldest premier institutions of girl's education in the city.
  • It epitomizes the exalted vision and ideas of its founder Mrs. Annie Besant since its inception in 1904, as Kanya Vidyalaya.
  • Set in the heart of the city, spread over a sprawling and beautiful campus, the institution is religiously performing its duty of synthesizing the ideals of Mahamana and Mrs. Annie Besant of providing qualitative girl's education as well as preserving and spreading national culture and heritage
  • As they believe in "Golden study in a muddy house is better than a muddy study in a golden house" alike we are having standard education,
  • but with the best infrastructure. For the past over 100 years the schools has been imbibing deep rooted values for individualistic growth of children to prepare them to be democratic, responsible, dutiful and honest citizens.
  • The school is presently imparting the education from Nursery classes to the Higher Secondary classes
  • Our college is having two campuses. Nursery and Primary Section is held in the campus of Kolhua & Secondary and Higher Secondary classes are held in campus of Kamachha Varanasi.

Achievements

1. School Achievements

  • The result of the school during the session 2011-2012 in AISSE and AISSCE has been 100% and 98% respectively.

  • On the 150th birth anniversary of Malviyaji, the school made a short film �Mahamana Ki Antheen Yatra� based on his life and some important events in his life, enacted by the students of the school. The school also organized an exhibition on Mahamana�s life on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Malviyaji.

  • Radio Mirchi organized a music (film song) competition in which the students of C.H.G.S. bagged first, second, and third positions and Km. Jyoti of class XII received a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lac.

  • Faculty of Science (B.H.U.) organized a debate competition on World Environment Day on 28th July 2012, where our Central Hindu Girls School got first and second prize. VIDUSHI SWAROOP got first and NEHA PANDEY got second prize in that inter school competition.



  • 2. Sports Achievements

  • Many sports competitions in the senior and junior group are held in the school an Children�s Day.

  • Km. Sapana Gond of class VII won the first prize in Open District and Cluster Kabbaddi Meet.

  • Km. Sonali Chaterjee and Km. Vineeta singh received prizes in a �Womens Year� District and Cluster Swimming Competition organized by Sports Dept. Lucknow.

  • Km. Nidhi Gupta received silver medal in the District Tiaquondo Meet.

  • Km. Jagriti Singh of the school came second in the 400 meters race in the women�s year cluster Atheletic Meet.

  • C.B.S.E. organized and conducted Atheletic Meet in D.A.V. Public School in Gaya, Bihar in which the students participated in various competitions and won prizes.

  • Km. Ayushi Chaurasia of class XI participated in the East Zone Skating Competition organized by C.B.S.E. at Kothari International school, Noida.

  • Sapana Gond of VII class participated in a National Atheletic Meet, conducted by C.B.S.E. at Labour India Public School, Kottayam, Kerela.



  • 3. Other Achievements

  • For a complete and holistic development of the students, along with the academic programmers, various co-curricular activities, sports competitions, NCC, Guiding, Red Cross, First Aid and other cultural activities are conducted throughout the year.

  • Km. Vidushi Swaroop of class VIII secured third position and a cash prize of Rs. 3000 in a speech competition of state level on the topic �Paryavaran Janjagran�.

  • Students of the school participated in the National Standard Examination of Physics, Chemitry and Biology Olympiad Competitions conducted by Indian Association of Physics and International Olympiad of Chemistry IOM. They also won medals.
