Dr. PushpLata Singh is Professor in the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Her area of specialization is Ancient Indian History & Archaeology. She is awarded UGC- Junior Research Fellowship and Senior Research Fellowship, New Delhi. She has also been awarded Associateship of Indian Institute of Advance Study, Rashtrpati Nivas, Shimla. She has been invited as a Visiting Scholar at University of Paris, France. She has more than eighteen years of teaching experience at P.G. level. She is the authoress of several books like "Settlement Pattern in Northern India circa 600 B.C. - circa 300 A.D. (New Delhi), Ecology and Archaeology of Koshal Region (New Delhi) and Vindhya Madhya Gangeya Kshetra ka Puratattva (New Delhi). She has regularly participated and presented papers in national and international seminars and conferences. She has also been participated in archaeological explorations and excavations. Currently she is working on a project entitled �Paleo-Environment and Settlements Pattern of Devi Patan Region (from earliest times to early medieval period)�. Presently she holds several administrative responsibilities of the university. She is also member of various academic bodies.
