• Location specific Integrated Pest Management programmes (IPM) for pulses, vegetables and oilseeds were developed, validated and disseminated to the farmers of this region.
• Production of various bioagents like Trichoderma, Trichogramma spp. and Chrysoperla carnea are being done at department level. Techniques are disseminated to the farmers on production of these bio-agents for the management of crop pests.
• A huge collection of insect biodiversity comprising of 1,540 insects are maintained for taxonomic studies. Check lists and keys for different species of insects belonging to Apterygotes were prepared, which were not previously available in the country.
• Identification and morphological characterization carried out on soil insects up to genus and species level of more than 30 species with scanning electron microscope. Documentation on symptoms of damage, life stages of crop pests and their natural enemies were done with digital imaging for the easy identification by farmers.
