Aim of the centre is to generate basic ecological data, develop eco-friendly technologies & need based courses and produce multidisciplinary expertise for Ganga, river rejuvenation & water resources management.
Objectives of the centre to generate basic ecological data, develop need based courses and conduct multidisciplinary training, teaching, doctoral & post-doctoral programs on Ganga, river rejuvenation & water conservation.
To study the impact of climate change on structural and functional behavior of the Ganga river basin and create working models for future projections to manage water resources.
To create networking among national and international organizations and conduct mass awareness programs.
To prepare a state-of-the-art document on socio-cultural-economic & religious status of the Ganga river basin and develop strategies to improve livelihood and sustain the life.
To develop environment friendly technologies for sustainable use of water resources.
To act as a nodal agency to provide high quality data to the policy makers, advisors, environmental experts, researchers and general public.
To suggest strategies for the Ganga, river rejuvenation and conservation of water resources based on environmental legislation.
To offer consultancy services for wastewater management to the governmental, NGOs, industrial & other needy organizations.
To promote Skill India & Digital India national programs.
To conduct all such programs that are required to fulfill the aims of water resources management & Ganga rejuvenation.
