Area of Specialisation:
Medical Geography.
Having completed Ph. D. in Medical Geography and Geography of Tourism, taking an urban centre as a study area, interested in working with the urban slum population (published few research papers on slums of Chennai and Varanasi city). At present working in the directions of Women related diseases and Gerantology both in slum and non slum areas.

Attended more than twenty five national and international conferences/ seminars/workshop and presented research paper on various burning issues in India.
Organized a Seminar On Reorienting Geography to meet Present and Future challenges (March 13-15,2012) as a Organizing Secretary and an another seminar "Ganga Plains: The problems and prospects" (Jan. 28-30,2013) as a Co-Convenor.
