The primary aim of this centre would be to contribute to the growth of Bhojpuri through in depth studies or the various aspects that will include cultural and other historical traditions. All the dialects, as said earlier, represent voice of the people in their own fields, villages and socio-cultural status. Hence, apart from studies of language per se, the centre proposes to bring out (a) contributions to history by Bhojpuri speaking people (b) their class character (c) Their contribution to freedom movement (d) aspects of migration. The centre proposes to work in the following directions
(a) Promotion of research activity
(b) Formulation of course at PG and M.Phill level.
(c) Cultural Museum to preserve rare manuscripts, art forms etc.
(d) Training manpower for print and electronic media, film production etc.
(e) Providing information to Indians living abroad and who would like to know about their cultural roots based on research.
(f) Apprising citizen about the opportunities.
