He completed his LL.B. and LL.M. from DDU Gorakhpur University. He obtained his Ph.D. in International Law from the University of Delhi. He started his teaching career in the year 1996 and joined Law School, BHU in the 2006 as a Reader.

He has written several papers and articles which have been published in the leading law journals of the country and is an occasional contributor to the 'Statesman', a leading newspaper of India. He has also authored a book on the Transfer of Property Act, published by the University Book House, Jaipur and co-edited a book, "Science, Technology and Law Reform" (New Delhi: Satyam Books, 2014) which includes scholarly contributions from the judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts of the country and the leading academicians from India and abroad.
