M.Sc. Bioinformatics



With its glorious tradition of commitment to education, MMV successfully continues to take on the challenges posed by the fast changing national and global scenario. A 4 - Semester, interdisciplinary Masters programme in Bioinformatics has been established at MMV with UGC support under innovative programmes.

Women candidates who have passed 10+2 with Science and Bachelor's degree under 10+2+3 pattern in Science / Engineering/Technology/ Agriculture/ Medicine/ Veterinary Science/ Pharmaceutics with atleast 50% marks in the aggregate from recognized university are eligible for admission to M.Sc. course in Bioinformatics. The selection is through all India entrance examination. The course is of two years duration and is to be completed in FOUR semesters. 90 credits will qualify a student for the M.Sc. Bioinformatics degree.

Curriculum

The first batch of 18 girl students has been admitted through All India Entrance Test during 2005-06 session. Besides the theory papers covered under the following titles, laboratory exercises, seminars and comprehensive viva form part of the academic curriculum.
