Need Based Programs

Considering the changing requirement of the corporate world, the Faculty conducted a variety of innovative management programmes during these years. At the beginning, it conducted, besides doctoral programme in management, a two year full time post graduate degree programme - Master of Management Sciences, later nomenclatured as Master of Business Management, and then Master of Business Administration. To facilitate imparting management education for desiring candidates who are already in job, we had conducted part time (three year) degree programme in management studies (Master of Business Management). We have also run one year part time Post Graduate Diploma in three different disciplines of management viz., Personnel Management, Marketing Management and Financial Management for working executives. With continuous revision and innovation, the Faculty has always been grooming managers capable of handling complex business operations of the day and future.

Introduction of MBA IB program (formerly MIBA)

Sensing the policy shift in international business arena in the late 1980s we have introduced Master's programme in International Business Administration in 1990, pioneering in introducing such an innovative programme in the University system. From academic session 2010-11, the programme is renamed as Master of Business Administration (International Business) - MBA (IB).

Introduction of MBA Agri. Business program:

Considering the ever-growing needs of the Agricultural Sector we have introduced a new stream of MBA - MBA Agri-Business in the year 2006. The fourth batch of the programme is being run very successfully with a very bright and enthusiastic batch of students at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha.

Introduction of PGDBA (Executive MBA) program:

Faculty launched Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) - a one year (Two Semester) programme for working executives, entrepreneurs, teachers and officers of the University.

Introduction of Skill Enhancement Programs of UGC:

The Faculty introduced following three programs for graduating students of the University and affiliated colleges under Career Oriented Programs of the University Grants Commission during academic session 2011-12:

  • One-Year Diploma in Microfinance & Entrepreneurship
  • One-Year Diploma in Leisure & Hospital Management
  • Six-Month Certificate program in Health Care Management
