Joy of Giving Week.

An interactive session with the TATA Jagriti Yatra Team was organized in the Faculty. The concept of Tata Jagriti Yatra was explained and elaborated on its purpose and how it is a model to awaken the spirit of social entrepreneurship in the interactive session.

Vastrasamman.

As part of the Joy of giving week, Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University organized a collection drive of old / new clothes from residential locations of Banaras Hindu University Campus, on 2nd October 2010, the auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanti. The collected clothes from Varanasi were sent to an NGO Goonj, Delhi for further distribution.

UTTHAN - Social Business Plan Competitions.

All India Social Business Plan Competition "UTTHAN" was organized in the Faculty. The purpose of this competition was to promote social entrepreneurial spirit among the management graduates of India for developing sustainable marketable and economically viable social business plans. Over hundred teams from all parts of the country participated in the competition making it a huge success.

Sevaarth is a social, voluntary movement started by the students of the Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University under the Special Assistance programme (SAP) sponsored by University Grants Commission.

Sevaarth encourages goodwill towards the needy and will step in for the betterment of society. This initiative was inaugurated byProf. D.P. Singh, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor on 12 September 2009.
