1861 – Born in Prayag (Allahabad) to Pt. BrijNath and Moona Devi on 25 December.
1878 – Married to Kundan Devi of Mirzapur.

1885 – Assisted his teacher Pt. Aditya Ram Bhattacharya in editing the English Weekly "Indian Union".

1887 – Quit teaching and became the editor of "Hindosthan" at the invitation of Raja of Kalakanker in
